Either the woman was unhinged or she was out of her mind. Ray watched incredulously as the tiny redhead stared down - *stared down*! - Ben, both of them with arms tightly folded.
"Mister Fraser," Janeway said coolly, with a polite, threatening smile. "This is my ship. I'll thank you to let me run it."
Ben stepped softly into her personal space, leaving her about an inch to breath. "I don't believe you're aware of the ramifications your actions could have. I'm duty-bound to stop you."
"Then I'm 'duty-bound' to throw you in the brig," Janeway drawled, apparently unintimidated by his proximity. "Or you could cooperate, and have a chance in hell of getting home again." Her eyes suddenly hardened completely, virtually spitting fire. Ray was just glad that glare wasn't directed at him. "But I will not tolerate insubordination on my own bridge. *Is that clear*, Mister Fraser?"
Ben looked at her unfriendlily for several moments, then compressed his lips and stepped backwards. "Understood. Captain."
Ray blinked.
